Iron Aid Minerals 60ml Hematinic Syrup for Dogs and Cats

Iron Aid is a highly palatable hematinic syrup which rapidly provides elemental iron.

It is used in the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency in pets by increasing hemoglobin levels, and properly transporting and utilizing oxygen to all cells of the body. It aids in the treatment of anemia secondary to blood parasitism infections or other conditions. It also assists healthy pregnancy, increases energy, and enhances athletic performance.

Formulation:

Each mL contains:
Iron Dextran: 400 mcg
Folic Acid: 0.1 mcg
Manganese Sulfate: 500 mcg
Cobalt Sulfate: 1.5 mcg
Copper Sulfate: 20mg

Dosage and Administration:

Cats and Puppies: 1 mL/kg body weight, every 12 hours

Young and Adult Dogs: 1 mL/kg body weight, every 8-12 hours, or as prescribed by a veterinarian.

Treatment should be continued until anemia is properly corrected, usually at 14-25 days. A blood analysis maybe required to monitor and evaluate the response to treatment. Dogs suffering from certain diseases or experiencing chronic blood loss, or those undergoing hard training in a warm climate might require supplementation to prevent the development of iron deficiency anemia.

Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light.
